Well, got the random rant out of my brain. Now to bring everyone to the true reason I started this blog. Beyond it acting as a soap box to vent my frustrations at the world and pretend people listen to me. To post about cool shit and share it with anyone who's actually listening. I give a lot of credit for this idea of my blog to Happy Party, a friend of mine from back in my University days. She maintains a Picture album on the Facebook of all the things that make her happy, and it's a spectacular album, filled up with crazy things that always make me laugh, smile, or howl in laughter.
First topic: Hot Nerdy chicks. I'm a nerd, I'm a nerd who loves sports, but more than anything, I'm a nerd. The logo I've created in the top right corner is an amalgum of The Squadron Crest for Rogue Squadron, and Manchester United. That's how nerdy I am. Thus, when I repost this picture, you'll understand why this is so amazingly sexy to a man like me. As a nerd, we most often believe that there are no sufficiently nerdy chicks to keep up with our nerdiness.

If you celebrate Passover on an Overpass...
You'll go back in time. It's funny right? Thank you to Conan O'brien for inspiring today's blog title, because I had absolutely no idea what to call it. So there's been a lot going on in the recent week that has me abuzz, has me wanting to scream my name to the heavens while wearing a raincoat and deck shoes. What is it that has me clenching my fist at the sky, challenging the sun in this manner? Boredom. That's right, sheer, fantastic, soul-crushing boredom. It's a time of renewal in the world, spring flowers popping up, seasons changing, and what the hell is going on in my life? Nothing.

This is March Madness
I want to touch on today just how insane that Xavier vs. Kansas St game was last night. Now, I'm not a man who is overly concern too much by Basketball. I like the Raptor's, but I'm a casual fan. I am a fan, but it's not like I live and die by their results, try to watch every game, or anything like that. That's The Chud & Volume Control, they're the guys who care a lot. But for me, Basketball is a sport I enjoy watching, try to follow with a moderate amount of effort, and for the most part, probably about 2nd or 3rd on my list of sports to watch. But last night, regaling in the beauty of my new 47" HD TV, I sat down to watch a game of March Madness. Now, if I don't care too much about the NBA, College basketball doesn't mean a lick to me. But last night I witnessed maybe one of the best games of basketball I have ever seen. Ever. It wasn't a game of outstanding skill, it never can be in College Basketball. But it was a game of true Sports Passion.
These kids playing aren't pros. They're college kids who love the game, who are trying to fight the realization that they exist in a vast majority of other college sports players who have no future in their sport. This isn't about a bigger paycheque next year in the league, about sponsorships, any of that. This was about writing yourself into history. Those kids, they don't know what happens tomorrow, but what they do know, something they have over the rest of us, is that they are taking their SHOT. Not a lot of people know when their shining moment in their lives is. Those kids, they're in it. They know it. They're fighting to keep it going and to make it better, and more memorable to themselves fr the rest of their lives. It's the old sports cliche that you hear in movies, about how there isn't a tomorrow, there's just the game now. That game last night folks, those kids were in it. Those kids watched it, they bled for it, they worked their butts off. Amazing. I was up for an hour after the game, just from the adrenaline of watching them all put it on the line. That is what sports are all about.

The Friday Edition
Well, I didn't feel the need, and/or have the time at work to post anything yesterday. But never fear, Friday is here and on Fridays, comes a day of slacking, or reading funny websites, and thinking back on the week that has passed. And planning what sort of idiocy I can get up to on the weekend, which is looking pretty boring at this moment.
To start things off, I'll pass on this amazing group of awesomeness, a group of superheroes just Partying Hard somewhere in Scotland. Crazy bloody Scots, how I love you.

Now, moving onto the more fun aspect of the world, where I simply sit down and explain a little bit more about my Blog. This is literally just an exercise in self-indulgence. I write down crap, that most people probably won't read, because I am attempting to catalogue my experiences in life. I have a few very dear friends, who will appear in this Blog under Code Names, as I don't want to have to give them a share of my future millions. Seriously. I'm a cheap bastard. You've already been introduced to Sand Vagina and The Chud, and I've mentioned British. They'll appear a lot. One man who I have failed to mention so far, is Volume Control. But now I've mentioned him, and there's no particular story to go along with him today, I just didn't want him to feel left out; and I wanted him to discover his blog code-name.
I really don't know where else I was going with this post, so I'll leave it there. Oh, and with a watermelon Death Star.
